Our Story
Summit Spray was born out of the need to keep our beloved tree-mounted orchids, ferns, and bromeliads alive during Florida’s dry season. Many of our plants and flowers were out of the range of our current sprinklers, since they had grown so high up on the trees over the years.
My husband had asked that “somebody” in the family water all the orchids and plants affixed to trees in our yard while he was at work. So, first our sons took turns doing it when they got home from school. They did it a few times. And when they didn’t have a chance to, or had just plain forgotten to, I then started doing it whenever I could. Another job on mom’s very long to-do list.
After a few months of this I asked my gardening-enthusiast husband to just buy a sprinkler that could water these beautiful orchids and plants. He searched and researched. None existed. So, I then turned to my husband and said, “What if you just invented something that could do the job instead of one of us?”
After years of tinkering with existing plumbing and irrigation parts, it became clear that he needed to invent his own solution. Many prototypes later, my husband had the answer to watering out-of-reach orchids, as well as many other plants, with a power shower of water reaching up to 20 feet high and six feet wide.
Summit Spray was born.
Now, none of us are on “watering the orchids” duty. Summit Spray takes great care of our orchids and plants, and we are all happier with the arrangement. Let Summit Spray do the work for you!
